Types of cookies
Below follows a brief explanation of which types of cookies can be used.
This type of cookies allows certain sections of the website to work properly.
These fall into two categories: persistent and session cookies.
Persistent cookies: after closing the browser they are not destroyed but are stored up to a pre-set expiration date.
Session cookies: they are deleted every time the browser is closed.
Pursuant to directive 2009/136/EC —implemented by LD of 28/5/2012 No. 69—, and to the provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority regarding the “Identification of simplified procedures for cookies-related disclosure and consent for its use” of 8/5/2014 —published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic No. 126 of 3/6/2014—, since technical cookies are essential for the proper functioning of a website, they can be used without the prior consent of the User, without prejudice to the obligation of disclosure, pursuant to Art. 13 of the Personal Data Protection Code, which is fulfilled with this document.
These cookies allow us to improve our website by monitoring and analysing Users’ behaviour and dividing them into different profile categories to make navigation easier for them.
In order to analyse how to use the website, REVEE also uses analytics services provided by Google, including Google Analytics. In particular, Google Analytics uses both persistent and session cookies in order to anonymously collect information on how our website is used by Users. Such details (including IP addresses) will be transmitted by their browser to Google servers in the United States. The information collected will be used by Google for the purpose of evaluating how the User interacts with the website, compiling reports on website activity that might be useful to website managers, and providing other services related to website activity and use of the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if such third parties process the above information on Google’s behalf.
It should be noted that Google adheres to the privacy principles contained in the Safe Harbor agreement between the EU and the United States, which defines secure and shared rules for US-based companies to process personal data. For more information on the Safe Harbor agreement, please visit the website of the US Department of Commerce.
